Ugh, it was pheasant. Really, that is the last time I try to cook wild game. We always end up finding the shot in the meat, and it tastes so, well, gamey. It's too bad, because I want to like game... I think I will leave it to the professionals.
before my mother got "smart" and left such things in the back of the freezer until ti was dehydrated and forgotten, we used to experience such treats. Ours though was called "chicken", and that worked until we were old enough to compare chicken legs that came with breasts and wings with the little legs that came four to a plate of "chicken". Oh and the beebees! it was rabbit!
