So, as I'm sure you've all heard by now, poor Germany lost the Euromeisterschaft (not the Weltmeisterschaft or, as I like to call it, the Waldmeisterschaft where you cut down trees and ride on squirrels) last night. They did not play so well, I have to admit. The game was kind of....ummmm...boooooring. I kept wanting to read my New Yorker, and it made me feel like I was 12 years old again waiting in the sun for my brother to come up at bat, reading a book and getting a sunburn.
The soccer craziness is over, and on the radio this morning I kept hearing about how proud Germany should be to be in 2nd place. That's right! Good job guys! Keep that stiff upper lip and remember that not everyone can win all the time.
By the way, didn't you see Jeremy's LOL bug a few posts down? Isn't it the most hilarious thing ever? Give him some love!

man, the bug LOL had me all busted up the other day. I tried to leave a comment through the laughing tears but I thought maybe Jeremy erased it cause it never showed up? more LOLs please!
uh-oh! The LOL bug is still up on our computer... I don't know what has happened out in the big, wide world.
It's going to be hard for him to top such a piece of brilliance...
Sarah, it doesn't sound like you miss watching your brother play ball like we do. Keep in mind how many dance recitals and performances he's attended for you. We like to go to those, also.
Jeremy, we like your bug videos. Keep on the lookout for more.
I do believe I went to way more dance recitals than you went to baseball games, sister! Sorry that Germany lost. Myrtle Beach is fantastic though. Its nice and sunny and the water is fine. See ya in a month!
yo, I was feeling NOSTALGIC for the baseball games. They were a lot more interesting than watching a soccer game in a television that you can barely see in a park that is getting colder and colder as the sun goes down.
AND-- I disagree that there were more dance performances than baseball games, but let's just say they were the same amount. I heartily admit that the dance shows must have been so horrifyingly boring that one would gladly trade places with the sinners floating in boiling pitch in the 8th circle of Hell to get out of it... But hopefully now they are more interesting!
PS- I finished Dante's Inferno this week!
i mean sarah come on! feeling nostalgic about baseball games... maybe the hot dogs or corn dogs or 10dollar budweisers you can feel nostalgic about but not a 3 hour yankees game where everything can be seen in a 10 second summary. the euro-cup was beautiful! football is such a great game! cheers....
