A-ok!

Everything is totally and perfectly fine.

The doppler doctor however, was kind of a jokester:

After I got up from the examining table: "Is that sweat or did your water break?" Har har.

Whew! Glad everything is fine! There are so many changes, it is hard to know which ones are normal and which need to be watched/monitored. Glad you went with caution. Do they think you will go early? Seems like with all of the tests they would have an idea..... the countdown should begin soon!

Well, my regular doctor did say something like, "so, you have 10 days left, huh?" But I think he just forgot when my due date was. I think that part of having a baby is still shrouded in mystery.

What a relief!! I went through something similar with Ben, I had the flu pretty badly after vacation, yadda yadda, all turned out fine.
Did the doctors/midwife say if you're progressing at all? Did they check that? Wow, really personal. Sorry, I just want all the deets.

Well, I like nothing better than to talk about my cervix (Muttermund in German-- freaky), but I thought I might try to keep it out of the blog. But since you asked...

According to the midwife, the baby's head is almost in the 0 position, and it's far enough down so if I go into labor, I don't have to worry about the umbilical cord prolapsing. My cervix is now getting 'fluffy' and I am a teeny bit dilated.

I think it will be before the end of the month, say may 27 for a date!
